Governor Inslee announces appointment of Chad Allred to King County Superior Court

OLYMPIA – Gov. Jay Inslee today announced that he is appointing Chad Allred to King County Superior Court.

Allred, who is currently serving as a King County Commissioner and is an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, practiced civil litigation since 1998 at the firm Ellis, Li & McKinstry where he was a partner. His litigation experience includes handling claims for securities fraud, racketeering, consumer protections violations, and international child abduction.

“Chad has a well-respected and accomplished reputation for his work in the legal community,” said Gov. Jay Inslee. “I know he’ll be a highly-capable addition to the bench and be able to hit the ground running.”

Allred was rated Extremely Well Qualified and Well Qualified by the King County Bar Association, Latina/o Bar Association of Washington, Washington Women Lawyers and Joint Asian Judicial Evaluation Committee. He is filling the vacancy of Judge Michael Trickey who was appointed to the Division 1 Court of Appeals by Inslee last month.
